Time, Money, Ambition . . . in no specific order. AND SOME GD COOL WEATHER!! But need an LS3 intake manifold.

After rereading your posts I realized that you did not do the LED swap yourself but instead sent the cluster and switches out. That said, I guess the lesson learned would be, "Let a qualified professional do the work." That is probably sage advise. However, not until I have taken the opportunity to screw it up myself.

        • Is that concrete your bumper is sitting on? Did you finally lay down a proper surface at you house? Thought you did all your mechanic work on a gravel driveway.

Your project turned out good. Wonder how it will work when you get it installed.

Crew cab about to get introduced to the POR15 product line...

The PO had sprayed some El cheapo parts store undercoating under the wheel wells. I'm gonna sand it off, clean em with the POR15 cleaner/degreaser then start the spraying with this POR15 undercoating.

              Stay tuned...

It's prep day...I've already gotten drivers side sanded, scrubbed with degreaser and now soaking with prep & ready...

                Onto the passenger side...

My arms and shoulders are killing me now after sanding and scrubbing both sides. Passenger side soaking in prep & ready now. Then hose it off and wait til everything is bone dry. Might be Monday before I can paint. Which means truck doesn't move til I'm done painting. Don't wanta contaminate my clean and prepped surfaces.

The El cheapo undercoating that the PO used came right off...I've got ugly wheel wells now with my sanded bare metal spots and residual old undercoating that I couldn't get my sanding sponge to get.

                  Some pics...here's driver's side front...

So today was spray day...but first had to mask off everything...

                    Then it was spray time...

                    Passenger rear...

                    Passenger front...

                    Drivers rear...

                    Some side shots...

I've got a few spots that I missed, so I'll order another can of undercoating. But at least I won't need to mask up everything to get the missed spots. Anyone wanting to do this, it'll take 3 cans of the POR15 undercoating.

Preventative maintenance is the best kind. These newer trucks rot fast. Wish I could dip mine in POR.

New license plate arrived today for the crew cab...I used to run this plate on my ride back in college. It was last run on a vehicle in 1997...

My 11yr old assistant helped with the install...

And her presentation...and no, that's my beverage on the driver's side hood....

We even managed to get the rear plate installed...

                    Putting away the tools...

Then she climbed up in the K5...so I had to grab a couple pics...

I see what your doing here. Conditioning the kids to do your work while you take drink, take pics and supervise. I like how you think.
